This journey opens the door to adventure and discovery in a world full of charm and beauty.
Itinerary
Day 1
Head to the hotel to check in, then some time to rest before our first tour: Skanderbeg Square – the monument – the Clock Tower – the Tirana Palace of Culture – the National Theatre (Opera House) – the National History Museum – the Ethem Bey Mosque – a walk through the famous Tirana tunnels – lunch – return to the hotel.
Evening tour: Grand Park – Tirana’s artificial lake – dinner – overnight.
Day 2
After breakfast, at 10am we head to Dajti Mountain, around 30 minutes from Tirana at an elevation of 1,613m, for the longest cable-car ride in the Balkans (15 minutes) up to Dajti park and mountain, with striking mountain views, lakes, and several restaurants serving Albanian specialities — a great destination for families. Then back to the hotel to rest.
Evening tour: the other side of Skanderbeg Square with its restaurants and cafés, then on to TEG Mall – dinner – return to the hotel – overnight.
Day 3
After breakfast, we head straight to the Albania-Kosovo border area, a trip of around three hours to reach the city of Prizren for our first sightseeing there. After checking in at the hotel and dropping off our things, we take some time to rest, then have a free tour of the city. Afterwards we head to a restaurant for a Kosovar-style lunch, then back to the hotel to rest for the night.
Day 4
After breakfast, at 10am we head to Rugova Gorge, on the road toward the Rugova Valley, stopping along the way to see the Patriarchate of Peć (a UNESCO heritage site), then continuing into the Rugova Valley.
The 25km-long, 1,000m-deep Rugova Valley is one of the most beautiful small valleys in Europe, cut through by the striking waters of the Bistrica River. The valley tour begins from the town of Peja, the key starting point for exploring the valley and surrounding mountains.
Afterwards we head to a restaurant for lunch, then back to Prizren and the hotel for the night.
Day 5
After breakfast, at 10am we head to Pristina to begin our sightseeing tour of the city, one of the most important cities in the Balkans, sitting between Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Albania. Our first tour takes in: the Newborn Monument – the National Library – Mother Teresa Cathedral – the Sultan Mehmet Fatih Mosque – the Clock Tower – the Ethnological Museum.
Afterwards we head to a Kosovar restaurant for lunch, then back to the hotel in Prizren to rest for the night.
Day 6
After breakfast, at 10am we head to northern Albania, specifically the city of Shkodër, on the border between Albania and Montenegro. Check in at the hotel, some time to rest, then we visit: Rozafa Castle – Shkodër Museum – Lake Shkodër – then back to the hotel.
Day 7
After breakfast, we head straight to the Albania-Montenegro border area, on to the town of Ulcinj, our first tourist stop in Montenegro. In Ulcinj we’ll visit the old town, one of the oldest urban architectural complexes along the Adriatic coast, known for its steep, cobblestoned streets steeped in history. Along our tour we’ll pass some of the best-known souvenir shops, capturing the spirit of the old East, and a former church and mosque on the upper plateau of the fortress, which now house the town museum. Afterwards we visit the Venice Palace and Cervantes Square, formerly known as Slaves’ Square. Then we head to a Montenegrin restaurant for lunch, before transferring to the hotel in Budva to rest for the night.
Day 8
After breakfast we head to the Bay of Kotor, known for its striking natural scenery and shimmering blue water along the entire length of the bay, as well as its stately medieval-founded towns, not to mention the mountain peaks from which you can take in views over the whole bay in unmatched, sweeping scenery.
Afterwards we head to the bay’s walking area, where visitors mostly stroll around midday, enjoying the ideal atmosphere and refreshing breeze along its relatively quiet streets, away from the bustle of the old town. Then we head to a restaurant for an authentic Montenegrin lunch, before returning to the hotel in Budva to rest for the night.
Day 9
After breakfast, at 10am we head to the town of Herceg Novi, a trip of around 1 hour 40 minutes. Herceg Novi is one of the country’s larger, more vibrant tourist towns, home to many attractions drawing visitors from around the world, including grand churches, ancient towers, and fortresses offering some of the country’s most beautiful panoramic views. In Herceg Novi we’ll visit: the old town – the Spanish Fortress – Herceg Novi beach.
Afterwards we head to a restaurant for lunch, then back to Budva, straight to the hotel to rest for the night.
Day 10
After breakfast, we head straight back to the Albania-Kosovo border area, crossing back into Albania toward the capital Tirana, a trip of around three hours. Afterwards we head to the hotel to rest.
Evening: a shopping trip to TEG Mall, Albania’s largest mall, then dinner – return to the hotel – overnight.
Day 11
Transfer to Tirana International Airport.
