Kotor

Kotor is one of the most striking towns in Montenegro, set on the Adriatic coast within the dramatic, mountain-ringed Bay of Kotor.

Kotor’s old town is enclosed by massive medieval walls and is home to well-preserved historic architecture, which earned the Bay of Kotor a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List for its natural and historic value.

The old town’s narrow stone streets, small squares, and historic buildings reflect a mix of medieval and Venetian influences. Several old churches, cathedrals, and museums throughout the town tell the story of Kotor’s long history.

Kotor also offers boat trips, diving, and coastal walking routes along the bay, alongside a range of restaurants, cafes, and shops that add to its appeal as a destination.
