About this itinerary
A proposed 18-day, 17-night itinerary. Visits are planned around arrival times, travel and rest. All services and prices are agreed after contacting us in a written offer.
Daily itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Tirana, transfer to accommodation and rest. If arrival time permits, take a gentle walk around Skanderbeg Square, the monument, Clock Tower, Palace of Culture and Opera House area, and Et’hem Bey Mosque. Choose an indoor museum or bunker visit after checking operation; the Grand Park and lake can be added on a less busy day. Overnight in Tirana.
Day 2
Visit the Dajti mountain area by cable car if operating and conditions allow, with time for viewpoints, suitable walking and rest. Return to Tirana, then take an optional walk near Skanderbeg Square or Toptani centre; overnight in Tirana.
Day 3
Travel from Tirana to Berat to visit the castle area and walk near the river, then continue to Vlora. Allow enough time for transfers, rest and check-in; overnight in Vlora.
Day 4
Take an excursion from Vlora to the Llogara area for viewpoints and a suitable short walk, then to Dhermi and the beach depending on weather. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Return to Vlora, with an optional waterfront stroll; overnight in Vlora.
Day 5
Transfer to Shkoder in northern Albania, check in and rest. Choose visits to Rozafa Castle, a museum or the lake depending on arrival time; overnight in Shkoder.
Day 6
Take the mountain road to Theth to visit the village, Kulla tower and a suitable short walk in the park area. Do not add a long mountain hike without a dedicated day and appropriate preparation. Check road conditions, weather and the return time to Shkoder for the night.
Day 7
Leave Shkoder early for Koman for a Lake Komani trip. If choosing the Fierza ferry, confirm outward and return sailings and jetty transfers in advance; visiting the Shala River requires a different boat trip. Return to Shkoder when operating times allow, or revise overnight arrangements before confirming the itinerary.
Day 8
Cross from Albania into Montenegro and stop in Ulcinj to visit the old town, fortress area and Cervantes Square. The town museum and Venice Palace area can be visited according to opening hours, then continue to Budva for the night. Allow for border procedures and road travel.
Day 9
Tour Budva’s old town, fortress area and waterfront. Choose an optional boat to Sveti Nikola Island if operating, or view Sveti Stefan from the coast; island access is not guaranteed. Overnight in Budva.
Day 10
Visit the Bay of Kotor for walks in the old town and along the waterfront, with viewpoints and stops suited to your time and fitness. Climbing the walls or taking a boat trip are separately arranged options; return to Budva for the night.
Day 11
Transfer from Budva across the border to the Lezhe area in Albania, allowing enough time for the road and crossing. A coastal stop can be included depending on accommodation location and weather, followed by check-in and rest; overnight in the Lezhe area.
Day 12
Cross from Albania into Kosovo and travel to Prizren. After check-in and rest, take a short walk around Shadervan Square and the stone bridge if time permits. A Sharr Mountains visit is planned separately with suitable travel time; overnight in Prizren.
Day 13
Visit Gjakova and its old bazaar area, with optional views of Radoniqi Lake from permitted locations. Do not assume swimming or water sports are allowed in the reservoir. Lake Komani is in Albania and requires a separate trip; return to Prizren for the night.
Day 14
Visit Peja and the Rugova area, choosing a heritage stop in town or a mountain activity suited to your fitness. Liqenat Lakes and Hajla Peak require separate planning for walking and time, and are not automatically combined with every activity in one day. Horse riding or off-road vehicle activities are optional and operator-dependent; return to Prizren for the night.
Day 15
Take a trip to the Istog area to visit the spring area and a suitable nearby walking route, with an optional meal at Trofta restaurant after confirming operation. Agree the visiting point and route in advance, then return to Prizren for the night.
Day 16
Return from Kosovo to Albania and transfer to Tirana, allowing for border procedures and rest. After check-in, shopping time at TEG can be arranged if time permits; overnight in Tirana.
Day 17
Visit Kruja’s castle area and historic bazaar, with time for rest or a meal as preferred, then return to your accommodation in Tirana.
Day 18
Check out and transfer to Tirana International Airport according to flight time and the distance from your accommodation. Agree the departure time in advance; add a night near the airport if flight timings do not allow a comfortable transfer.
