Boga is a small mountain village located in western Kosovo, also considered a holiday resort village. Boga enjoys a location within the “Bjeshkët e Nemuna” mountain range, also known as the “Albanian Alps,” rising between 1,300 and 1,400 metres above sea level. The village is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and majestic mountains, with Hajla Peak located near the village at an elevation of 2,403 metres, while the Bistrica e Pejës is a source of fresh water not far from the village.

The name Boga is believed to derive from the Albanian word “boj,” meaning “flowing water.”

Boga is a well-known holiday destination in Kosovo, offering many built holiday chalets, and draws many visitors thanks to a ski resort in the area.
