Kulla/Čakor Border Crossing (Peja–Rožaje), Kosovo–Montenegro

The Kulla crossing is the main border crossing between Kosovo and Montenegro, linking the town of Peja in Kosovo with the town of Rožaje in Montenegro.

Location and Elevation

The crossing sits at around 1,700 metres above sea level, amid the Accursed Mountains (Prokletije). It operates year-round, though snow and ice can affect the road in winter due to its high elevation.

A Shorter Route

The Kulla crossing significantly shortens the distance between the two areas — the distance between Plav and Peja via this crossing is only around 70km, compared with around 130km via an alternative, longer crossing.
